The long time actress had a storied career since the 1950’s ranging from radio soaps and theater to appearing in shows like Superman and Dragnet, but she is most famous for her voiceover work.

From Huckleberry Hound, Mister Magoo, and The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show to The Real Ghostbusters, Bennett’s talent has long been with the world of animation. Her first voiceover role was as Cindy Bear in The Yogi Bear Show which kicked off her first voice acting role in 1961.

However, comic book nerds and fans know her best as the second voice of Aunt May in the Spider-Man TV series where she starred in 8 episodes in 1997.

This is a big blow for a lot of generation X and millennials across the globe. Spider-Man, as well as Bugs Bunny and other childhood, shows mourn the late actress.

Bennett is part of the growing numbers of celebrities that have died from the coronavirus. Bennett’s longtime friend and agent Mark Scroggs alerted the public of her passing. She passed on Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Currently, parts of the United States are self-isolating as local officials are trying to flatten the curve by encouraging others to practice social distancing.

Bennett was confirmed deceased on March 31, following complications after becoming infected with the disease. She is survived by her adopted friends and longtime manager.
