That is right, the Moonies Club Day Party is back again with another event for all the magical girls across the tri-state area! The annual celebration, initiated by the Moonies Club founder, Victoria L. Johnson, was created to honor Pride Month and Usagi Tsukino, also known as Sailor Moon, whose birthday is on June 30th.

Don’t let the gray skies dimmer your magic, because the show is happening today! This year’s event will take place on Saturday, June 27, from 2-8 PM . Fans will have access to two floors (including the covered rooftop) at Hotel Chantelle, located at 92 Ludlow Street in Manhattan.

Since 2023, the day party has been an event for Sailor Moon fans, aka Moonies, to gather in the name of the moon and queer joy. Activities include a nail station with Sailor Moon-themed designs, tarot card readings, Sailor Moon flash tattoos, vendors with anime merch, games, giveaways, themed drinks, music, and more.

Sailor Moon continues to be a beacon for queer identity and feminine power — a magical girl who leads with heart, fights for love, and has always resonated deeply with Black girls and queer communities who saw themselves in her long before the mainstream caught up.

Tickets are available here. For more information about Moonies Club, visit them online, follow them online and subscribe to their popular podcast, the Sailor Moon Fan Club.
