Breaking Out: “This Is Us” Actor Is Now Disney’s First Black Prince
Known as young Randall in the constant tearjerker that is This Is Us, actor Niles Fitch is now making history as the very first live-action Disney Black prince in the upcoming Disney+ film, Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.
Secret Society follows the tale of Princess Sam, played by Peyton Elisabeth Lee. Sam is the second in line for the throne behind her sister, Princess Elanor. After receiving superpowers and being recruited into a top-secret group of similar gifted individuals tasked with providing safety to the world, Sam’s adventure gives rise to her concerns about the throne after seeing alternative sides to society.
Secret Society of Second-Born Royals hopes to showcase a different side to the Disney Princess brand they’ve been known for.
Fitch plays the smug and charismatic Prince Tuma, who along with Sam and their group, decide to not wait for destiny to be fulfilled. Instead they forge their own path to self-discovery and better uses for their royal advantages.
The 18-year old Atlanta native debuted the news through his social media feed after Entertainment Weekly did an exclusive look into the upcoming film, and it’s safe to say, people are excited!
Look for Secret Society of Second-Born Royals on Disney+ this summer.
