Let Me Explain My Lack of Posts for the past 18 days!!!!

I know, I’m a horrible, terrible blogger/writer and I shouldn’t even be posting this but I feel I owe an explanation for almost two weeks without a new post. But I’ve been getting things in order for fashion week and my first digital issue. I’m so excited about it because I want to really bring cosmetic beauty and visual beauty together for the ultimate visual cocktail. But let me share what I’ve been doing because I have been going out -I’ve just been lacking on reporting about it. First and foremost July, 22nd I was at the New Museum for the Hennessy Launch party which was a preview of the limited edition bottles created by KAWS which was cool but sort of disappointing at the same time. I was looking forward to seeing some art by KAWS but I was welcomed by the divine sounds of Questlove!!!! He is such an awesome DJ! However, I did appreciate the giftbags Hennessy did provide us- which included the limited art bottles which was super dope!!

I was uber excited to go to First Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum which had an Afro-West Indian theme to it and they had live reggae music which was fun! I’ve always wanted to experience a museum “after hours” and the Brooklyn Museum did just that. As always I’m impressed by Georgia O’ Keefe’s work and Bob Thompson’s “The Judgement” touched my soul as the rhythms and beat of the west indies carried me from Brooklyn to Grenada.

So that is what I’ve been up to and I will also post the images from “Watch the Throne” exhibit in my next post. So I’m sorry, I promise I won’t ever be away that long again.
