Quinta Bronson Has Superpowers!

Best known for her internet videos and a star of Black Lady Sketch Show, Quinta Bronson is now a leading lady in the animated series for Syfy, Magical Girl Friendship Squad, reports Shadow and Act.

Magical Girl Friendship Squad is created by Kelsey Stephanides and written by Diana McCorry. The show follows the crazy adventures of Alex and Daisy. Tasked with protecting the world with their newfound powers, the duo are abound for adventures. FYI: those powers appeared after sticking their fingers up a red panda’s ass (of course they did). With a description of a mash up of Sailor Moon and Broad City, MGFS is going overboard. Think of it as a naughty Steven Universe.

MGTS originally premiered on Syfy’s TZGZ animation line up (think Adult Swim) as a four-minute short. The show is now a full-fledged series with six episodes.

Quinta takes on the role of Alex, with Anna Akana starring as Daisy.

As an added bonus, this will also be Syfy’s first animated franchise. Obviously with Quinta aboard, this ship is definitely taking off.
