Congratulations are in order to Anthony Piper, creator of Trill League comics. Dateline has reported that the Trill League series will be teaming up with rapper 50 cent and Lionsgate to turn the indie comic series to an animated series.
Trill League took social media by storm by creating parodies of classic superhero characters. In the last Fabulize Mixtape Issue-, I talked to Piper about his work and his peers. He discussed how he felt that a lot of creators in the Black comics community didn’t approve of how he depicted some of his characters. He felt some of the creators were gatekeepers and purposely kept him out of certain aspects of the community because Trill League didn’t have their approval. Piper has worked really hard on Trill League and I’m sure his many fans and supporters are excited. Piper has also worked on Marvel projects such as Jean Grey, Uncanny X-Men, Ghost Rider and Domino.
