Whether you’re handy with a can of spray paint, pen & paper, or even Adobe Pro, you know your art is what keeps you afloat. During this unprecedented time of hardships, the one thing that should not stop is the thing that truly lets you be your best self.

The Academy of Young Poets, Creative Capital, MAP Fund, Artadia, National YoungArts Foundation, United States Arts and the Foundation for Contemporary Arts have formed a coalition to establish the Artist Relief Fund, dedicated to providing $5000 grants for those suffering through financial hardships through this pandemic. They are also partnering with Americans for the Arts to create a COVID-19 Impact Survey for Artists and Creative Workers to bring awareness to artist’s needs for the future.

This initiative begins with $10 million over the course of six months and will continue to fundraise beyond the launch to further efforts of support. This means there’s plenty of opportunities but of course, first come, first serve basis. The requirements are simply:

  • Need to be 21 years of age or older
  •  Able to receive taxable income
  • Worked/lived in the U.S. since 2018

Those with the most significant financial hardships will be prioritized FIRST.

Also, the fund can receive donations, with 100% of all proceeds going directly to you and many others in need.

Art never dies, so the spirit of the artist shouldn’t either. Time to let others pour into you.
