Book Covers We Love That Are Debuting In March
Here are some of our favorite Black and POC covers for March 2021.
They say don’t judge a book by its cover but can you help us? I’ll admit I’ve made quite a few book purchases just based off of the cover. I know it’s wrong and I should know better, but can you blame me for not being able to resist a Black girl magic cover? Or Indigenous fantasy protagonists? I mean, it’s not everyday I see dark skin, plus-size protagonists on book covers. So, when I see them, like Pokémon, I gotta catch them all!
March 2021 Book Covers We Love
Black Girl, Call Home by Jasmine Mans
It’s the barrettes for me! It feels like my childhood in the summer when I was jumping double-dutch. You can hear the click-clacking of the ropes, the rhythm from me jumping and my barrettes clacking in-line with my friends turning rope.
Wild Women And The Blues by Denny S. Bryce
Give me all the Harlem Renaissance-inspired historical fiction, okay. The legendary messy stories of our ancestors need to come to light and live for the drama and the beautiful gowns.
Libertie by Kaitlyn Greenidge
This cover is just so ethereal. Another historical fiction to add to your library.
American Betiya by Anuradha D. Rajurkar
This cover is so emotional and powerful! A Brown girl in a fetal position in a beautiful sea of flowers. We can all incorporate some non-western romance books into our lives.
The Theft Of Sunlight by Intisar Khanani
Not only is this cover absolutely gorgeous the author is also Pakistani. Enough said, add this high fantasy to your bookshelf, pronto.
A Queen Of Guilded Horns by Amanda Joy
Black girls with swords and knives? Say, less.
Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert
The complimentary colors, the dark skin plus-size protagonist, what more could one ask for? Please give us more fat romance please.
Fire Keeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley
This cover just screams passion !
Accidently Engaged by Farah Heron
A cute rom-com cover that you can enjoy on a weekend over tea.
