There’s an interesting article on Women’s Health that gives a guide for lazy girls to maintain healthy, good skin. I agree with it but it’s not very brown friendly so I’d like to add my own edits :mrgreen:.

Wear SPF
Sounds simple right? Unfortunately most SPF when applied turns our skin ashy. So I recommend using a moisturizer with SPF or finding a good tinted moisturizer. Caudalie and Fresh Cosmetics are dark skin friendly and Caudalie has oily skin and dry skin options.

If you fancy a tinted moisturizer I highly recommend Vincent Longo or Nars.

Her favorite is Dermalogica Ultra Calming Cleanser ($36,Dermalogica)

Find Key Ingredients
If the thought of a serum sends you over the edge (so pricey! Another step in the routine!), try to find serum-like ingredients in your basic skincare steps. Sikora recommends looking for a moisturizer packed with antioxidants to protect the skin from environmental toxins, vitamin C, to brighten the skin, and hyaluronic acid to hold in moisture and keep skin plump.

Always Remove Your Makeup
Do not, we repeat, do NOT go to bed with makeup on. Leaving makeup sitting on your skin overnight will only clog pores and lead to breakouts. Sikora recommends using a foaming or gel cleanser to remove your makeup and cleanse your skin in one step. There, it’s easy—no excuse!
